Natural Cosmetics

#Japan#Culture

Finally, I gave up making a hand-made cosmetic and bought natural cosmetics through the Internet. I was looking for a chipper and good lotion and I remembered that my friend was making a lotion by herself. According to her, it was not only economical but also good for the skin. I felt that this was a good idea and I decided to make a lotion. However, I didn't know how to make a hand-made lotion, so I googled it.

Almost all the websites say that it is easy to make a lotion, but we need to prepare some purified water and glycerin, and also essential oil if you want to make it. I went to a drugstore to buy them at once. I found some purified water and glycerin and made a lotion once I came back  home. It was so easy that I could make my lotion in 5 mins.

After making the lotion, I checked some home pages about hand-made cosmetics and I felt that it might affect my skin, because I didn't use a vegetable glycerin and scald tools. This might not be big deals, but I finally decided to rely on the specialist of  cosmetics, which means I will rely on companies which produce cosmetics using natural ingredients, because after all it became troublesome to hand-make it. I found a company which makes cosmetics which are gentle on the skin. If you are interested in the products, more information is available at the homepage; http://www.ishizawa-lab.com/products/original.html

After all, a hand-made cosmetic lotion didn't suit me, because I might be lazy, and I feel that the cost might be much higher if I put some natural ingredients which are said to be good for the skin and for retaining skin moisture. I'll keep using the cosmetics and see how it goes for a while.

The uses of Black Soybean Tea

I realized that green tea might affect my sleep.

I love green tea and I have a strong cup of green tea after dinner every day. I didn't think that it had an impact on my sleep, as I have had one since childhood. However, green tea has as high a content of caffeine as coffee has. Judging from my experience, I'm not good at handling caffeine, because I cannot sleep well when I drink coffee after 3:00 pm. Therefore, it might be a possibility that the tea affects my sleep, and I have recently come to drink black soybean tea instead of green tea. Since I stated drinking it, I feel that I can wake up feeling good in the mornings.

Black soybean tea is made from roast soy beans and it has a good roasted fragrance. A black soy-bean is a type of bean, which has traditionally been regarded as a health and beauty food in Japan. It doesn't contain caffeine and the good effect is that it promotes the circulation of blood making it fluent and clean. You can not only have it as tea but also you eat the soybeans after brewing the tea. This still has a good ingredient for health which a soy-bean itself doesn't have.

Diet Counseling

I had the diet counseling with aroma from a professional aromatherapist yesterday. The reason why I got the counseling is that I'm interested in aromatherapy, which I've never done before. And also, I've been wanting to change my physical constitution for a long time. I get tired easily and the result of my medical check always says that I am too thin. I've thought that being too thin makes me get tired easily. If my physical constitution changes, I might hardly feel any fatigue.

During the counseling, she pointed out 4 symptoms, which I hadn't noticed.

1. There are dark circles and some spots under my eyes.
2. My tongue seems to be white, not pink.
3. There are some black spots in the white of my eyes.
4. I go to the restroom frequently.
(Normal is around 5 times per day, but I go10-12 times.)

She said that my liver might be weak and the internal circulation of body might be affected, therefore, I might be getting tired easily. And then, she recommended me to do the following things.

1. Decrease the amount of oily meals.
2. Eat rice instead of bread for breakfast to gain weight.
3. Control the breakfast or dinner menu, because of eating lunch out every day.

This counseling made me realize that I need to listen to the changes of my body more carefully. And also, I've started to think that being too thin might not be connected to feeling fatigue.

How to wake up early in the morning

My big concern recently is that I cannot get up early in the morning. I normally get up at 7:00, but I would like to get up at 6:30. You may think that it’s just 30 min earlier, but still I cannot wake up.

I thought about how to solve my concern and I was searching the Internet. I found a lot of websites about  “ How to wake up early in the morning.” Among the websites, I found one which recommends using the “Reminder” function of a smart phone. The article says that the important thing is that you need to control your nighttime hours such as the time you go to bed. If you use the reminder function, you can notice what time you should aim for. For example, if you want to sleep by 23:00, the reminder function will show like this;

22:00  It’s 1 hour before bedtime.
22:30  It’s 30 min before bedtime. Please get ready to sleep.
22:45  Hey, man. It’s 15 min before bedtime.

According this article, if you do not move, you can make the words more aggressive, and also you can put whatever comment you want.

I’ve been using the reminder function for just 2 days and I’m not sure whether it works or not yet, but it dose remind me of the time strictly. So, I’m thinking I’ll try using it for a while.
